Corporate Excellence Training

A man walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand and a bucket of manure in the other.

He says to the waiter, "Get me some coffee."

The waiter says, "Sure, coming right up."

The man drinks down the entire mug of coffee in one gulp. Then he picks up the bucket of manure, throws it into the air, and blasts it with the shotgun. The waiter looks on incredulously while the man just walks out.

The next morning the man returns. Yet again, he has his shotgun in one hand and a bucket of manure in the other. He walks up to the counter and says to the waiter, "I'd like some coffee."

The waiter says, "No way, mister, we're still cleaning up your mess from the last time you were here. What the heck was all that about, anyway?"

The man smiles and proudly says, "I'm training for the corporate leadership excellence program by modeling leadership behavior. I was told that all the managers and bosses do the same thing -- come in, drink coffee, shoot the sh*t, leave a mess for others to clean up, and disappear for the rest of the day."

Moral of the Story: Not all leadership models are studies in excellence.
