Civilization

It has been disputed if he ever said it, but it remains one of the most entertaining witticisms ever attributed to Gandhi:

During his first visit to England, Gandhi wore his traditional cloth robes and carried a walking stick -- much to the entertainment of the British press who tended to see him as some sort of a primitive person. Amid the flurry of photographs and questions, one reporter asked him almost mockingly, "So, Mr. Gandhi, what do you think of western civilization?"

Without batting an eye, Gandhi responded, "I think it's a wonderful idea."

Moral of the Story: Our definitions of things are based more on bias than fact.
