Hyphenated Names: Powerful or Problematic?

Many married couples have decided to hyphenate their last names in their wedding announcements. This is charming in an old-world fashion but the problem is when you have two last names which by themselves are fine, but when coupled with another last name can suggest something wholly unintentional. Moral of the Story: Hyphenated names have some charm and credibility (like Berrett-Koehler) but be sure the two names don't come together to suggest a third phrase or term in a very un-charming way.
